Raise the Roost Fundraising Party for the International Owl Center

Have a hoot supporting the International Owl Center’s new facility at the Raise the Roost Fundraising Party in Houston on August 2! All proceeds go toward building a new facility that can house up to 28 owls, where the owls can live on-site in spacious aviaries, two program rooms will allow it to be open seven days a week, and there will be plenty of restrooms for all. There will be six walk-through aviaries, the first of their kind in the United States, where there is nothing between visitors and the owls living free in their natural habitat aviaries. The event includes tours of the building site, with the building and aviary footprints marked out, a fun owl runway fashion show that attendees can join in, a presentation about the new facility, a live auction, wine pull, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar featuring a signature owl cocktail/mocktail. For those who can’t attend, there is an online auction currently underway with a wide variety of items from VIP tickets to the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, to an owling trip in The Netherlands with an eagle owl expert, a cat entertainment package, kids owl art from around the world, hand-knit wool socks, hotel stays, a 42-lb solid jade owl and much more.
